Hello,

I've just installed 8.0.2 and added the Option.txt with -AbsoluteMouseMode in Usr/Pref/live [Version] and...
IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM !
Especially Automation drawing, it much smoother than previously ! As well as zoom function in piano roll etc... Now I can't throw away this sh*ty Mighty Mouse as well as my BCR (Performance only from now)
For non wacom owner I would like to recommend you a sweety bamboo tablet, avoid wrist pain and "draw" your music

Thanks a looot Abies, I love you. Glad to see that finally you're listening to your users, even if it's a "minor" issue compared to the large userbase.
Live is almost perfect for me now !

could you maybe put a little youtube vid up webz to show how you work? nothing fancy, just how you use the tablet with live etc. and how it improves workflow...

If I want to switch back and forth between the Wacom tablet and the mouse, do I have to change Option.txt?

erm.. it just replaces a mouse.. nothing fancy.. same workflow, less rsi..

I already have a Wacom tablet.

It comes with a stylus and a wireless mouse. I can use them interchangeably.

However, if I use the mouse, I believe it sends relative coordinates; if I use the stylus, it sends absolute coordinates.

Obviously, I can try it and see what happens; but I thought I would ask to see if anyone else has tried it before I start.

nothing awkward, just need some getting used to..
not sure if the cintiq gives you that extra..

Whoa whoa whoa, what? How the hell do I get my tablet to work? Options.txt what? Where?

Please explain, I've been dying for this ever since installing Live on my computer.

if the txt file is not there already just create one..

How does that affect the mouse, then? (I tend to use the two interchangeably when working in Photoshop).

No, the pffffft was to my response I edited. I had said there was no Options.txt file. Then reread your post, saying that if it doesn't exist, create it.

OK, so it didn't work. I got this:



The thing is, there is no curly bracket at the end of the file.



Not sure what the heck the problem is, I'm dying to get this to work.
