I have been using Live 4 since it was released but the other day I was using it and I got an error and my PC rebooted. When it booted up again, I tried to open Live and it doesn't get past the load-up screen, t gets stuck on "creating new live set". I have un/reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. The strange thing is, I tried reinstalling it under a different user log-in and it works fine?

Any ideas???

Did you use a template file? If so, try to remove it.

The only template I think Live will try to load is the first lesson, I removed all of the demo arrangements but I still get the same problem...

Hi,

please send me the logfile of Live. It is normally located in

"C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Ableton\Live 4.0.1\Preferences\Log.txt".

By default this folder is hidden, so maybe you have to change your settings to get this log file.


Because you said it works fine under a different user account, have these both user accounts the same access rights?

Hi Alex.

I will send you the log file when I get home. I don't think the rights are the problem, as my log-in is the administrator and my girlfriends is just a normal account.
