Hi folks,

We just released the first beta version of the upcoming 8.0.3 bugfix update.
Every Live 8 owner can use this beta version.

As it is a beta, please remember to backup critical data before you use it.

Version info:

Current version: Live 8.0.3b1
Expiration date: 2009/05/21
Required serial: Live 8 full version

Kind Regards
/Alex

Changes from Live 8.0.2 to 8.0.3b1:

Improvements:

On Mac OS X, slightly improved graphic performance.

Setting up a cache folder is restricted to an empty folder or previous cache folder. Root directories are not longer allowed.

Bugfixes:

On Mac OS X, "Move to trash" and "Show in finder" command would not work when particular toll are installed. (e.g. PathFinder)

The unfrozen-state of a track would not be saved properly within a Live set.[4413]

Opening a particular set would crash as soon as the clip detail view of a particular clip would be opened.[5454]

When committing grooves for audio clips, the created volume clip envelope could produce audio clicks.[5266]

The "Auto" switch of racks would not always work properly.[4568]

When moving the mouse over Macros, the the name of the corresponding macro would not always displayed in the status bar.[5116]

In the Operator, the Notch filter display would not be displayed properly.[5157]

MIDI note preview would not always play all notes when moving the insert marker with arrow left/right.[5469]

Arranger recording of an unwarped clip could result in different playing offsets.[5455]

In the file manager, the project and library link would not work.[5467]

Installing a Live pack fails when one of the installed samples is already in use.[3041]

MIDI step input would sometimes happen when it should not; for example when just playing a note while there's a time selection, or when pressing keys other than arrow left and arrow right. MIDI step input would also generate undo steps even if nothing happened.[5486]

When scrubbing in the Arranger, sample pre-loading would not always work properly.[4696]

very excited that you guys are updating like crazy!

i have noticed the live 8 lag people have spoken about, and hope the programmers can figure that out. i switched from tracktion 3 to live because it could handle the gui far smoother...

mousewheel zooooom in arrange? ;)

either way, live is beautiful. thank you guys.

I just tried 8.02 without being connected to internet. That asking for licence problem is still there.Reconnect to internet and open live and it's ok again ,then close internet.I thought it was meant to be fixed in 8.01.

in 8.02 selecting multiple clips with different clip volumes and changing these volumes is a pain. before we could change the volume of all clips with all clips keeping their different volumes. now as soon as you touch the clip volume arrow (or block) all clips have same volume... know what i mean?
Is this an annoying bug or new behavior?

Not happening on my Windows PC with 8.0.2.

weird... would that be a mac-only issue? any mac users can check?
also, i recently loaded the txt file allowing wacom use. maybe the absolute mouse control causes this? would be nice to have the "normal" behavior on absolute mode too...

Time-stretching instead pitch-shifting for Looper (or allow us to choose) when it follows the tempo for the human-being sake!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(and thanks for all the great job you're doing!)
