A Visual Metronome...

Create a pulsating light effect that conducts the tempo. It'd be a visual
metronome that potentially eliminates the users' need to create click
tracks for mere jam sessions. It'd be an expandable window (perhaps where
the dialog box is at) that the user could expand if there was a need for it.
The pulsating light's diameter and color could be varied according to the
users' preference. And it could pulsate whole notes, half notes,
quarter notes, etc... The downbeat could be green, and the upbeats could be red.
I personally think this could be an awesome/invaluable Ableton feature
/update. Without click tracks and in-ear monitors, it becomes fairly easy to lose track of the downbeat whilst cuing up samples (ESPECIALLY pads). I think this idea would be a terrific solution. It'd be awesome if this was part of a free Ableton 8 update (version 3 or something):
Please Please Please consider, almighty Ableton???
P.S. And does anybody else think this a good idea?
