Hey ableton people I need help with vst issue ASAP

I have exhausted all possibilities and have an upcoming gig and need help. 8.0.2 and 8.0.3 do not recognize my monome when used in conjunction with steve duda's molar.
8.0.1 recognizes the monome. 8.0.3 does not and worst of all tracks opened in 8.0.3 do not work in 8.0.1 so now that i have opened tracks in 8.0.3 I am screwed. I have tested the monome with multiple osc testing apps and molar works fine as it is playing, the problem seems to be on Live's end of things, as 8.0.1 works and 8.0.3 does not. Please get back to me. I need some support here. Thank you in advance.

So it is funny. If I had posted a poll on whether or not daft punk were electronic god robots, or if they sucked, like 137 users would have replied. But when I have a real issue with ableton there is no response. This forum is like you tube except the ignorant racist are replaced by people who hate psytrance. Anyway it must be because it is the weekend. Hopefully German's don't celebrate memorial day. :?

Yes. Also, if the VST is in a user directory and not the the system directory
(/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST), move it in the system directory.

Christian

I don't if you can do this on MAC, but usually on PC, here's how you fix the problem:

Run live "as administrator" , then disable the vst folder in Preferences menu, then enable it again.

Let me know if it works.

I rescanned like 50 times over the past few weeks trying to deal with this. My VST's are in the right place. I sent you some crash logs. Any other ideas?

Hello,

Is the VST picked up by any other VST host?
What´s the full name of the VST and URL, if publicly available?

Best,
Christian

Since I am having VST issues in Windows 7, generally where is it recommended to have the VST folder located? Anywhere in the Program Files Directory? (Windows 7 has 2 - one I think is Program Files x86)

Hello understone,

This thread is about a VST issue on OS X.
On Windows, i recommend to create a folder somewhere in your C:\ directory.
Unlike OS X, there´s no system folder for VST´s.

Christian

I assume you mean this VSTi: http://post.monome.org/comments.php?DiscussionID=260 ?
Btw., this is beta - freeware, in case you didn´t know.
Did you try already to remove it completely from you VST folder and re-download/re-install it?

Best,
Christian

This is a Live 8.0.1 crashlog - are you sure that´s the right one?
