Qwerty Impulse with iBook.

Quick question here - just so I know what to expect:
When triggering drums from Impulse with the iBooks' keys the beats don't sound in time -they will lag anything up to an 8th note. This results in a general "drunk drummer" syndrome.
Does this work perfectly for most of you?

I posted a topic recently with this same triggering problem.
It's not just with the Impulse instrument. Try triggering/playing any clip in general. No quantization. With a midi keyboard it works fine, but with the computer keyboard or mouse, there is something preventing me from playing a succession of fast notes freely.
THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR IN LIVE 3.
The only thing in common with all of us is that we use iBooks.
Any suggestions? Ableton support told me they can't find a problem, but there is definitely a problem.
It's OS X

Once again, OS X proves to be the enemy of snappy performance.
I just tried Live 4.03 for OS 9, and all the triggering problems using the keyboard are gone on my iBook 900.
Thank goodness I have a machine that will boot into OS 9.
The only thing I miss in OS 9 is expose.

Another 900 G3 user here, and while I haven't upgraded yet, I don't recall having these problems with the Betas... FWIW!

also having the problem on a 1GHZ G4 on OS X 10.3.5
hopefully this will be amongst bug fixes in the next incarnation of Live. Also, I'm just noticing as I'm typing this (just after trying to drum with the keyboard) there is a similar lag/jitter for normal typing.. what gives?
