Those samples are popping. Your arrangement is electrifying. Thanks for sharing.

I really really like this, everything about it is great. Let us know how the gig went too.
I'm in a similar situation, never played a live event, but been producing music for a long time.

All the best wishes to you because your music really has quality. :)

I loved this set. Simply amazing.

I must ask though, how much of the set is sampled, and how much is done with midi? Not that it matters either way, but it sounds very professional, and I want to learn how to achieve that sound. Can you offer any advice?

@vitamin-e

this is predominantly a DJ set at the moment with a lot of synth lines and beats and random effects builds most of that is not at this point of the mix though, at the moment im just building the order and composition. by the end of it it will be about 75%original work and 25% tracks/samples (at the moment its about 50/50)

I am trying to pick tracks (if they are not mine) that are either progressive or have no much in the top+mid or bottom and mid this gives me room to play and create something that is my own from them.

at the moment its just planning and leaving lots of space for improvise on the night

when i am done i will start making tutorial videos of the set up and process i am just waiting on my apc so i can incorporate that in the vids along with some other midi controllers.

@djfm

its really nice to produce and great live because its so easy to mike in all sorts of music i have some dub and breaks working into this mix and will probably have a few breaks with glicthy ambiance.

thank you so much, i will try i have been making music for the last 16 years finally i hve a way to overcome my stage fright in ableton :) its about time haha. when i am done i will make a wav/mp3 and post it here i will let you know in a pm

@David.B

thank you, which track did you like? i will pm when i am finished

wow didnt expect any response letlone a positive one

thank you everyone you have fixed an otherwise bumpy week

It's hard to id it since I don't know its name.
But basically I'm pretty fond of the full mix.
Superb sound and very progressive, right on for my taste !
