Fade Bug - First Kick sounds different -SOLVED!-

Edit:
Seems to be solved with Live 8.1.

Thanx so much for looking into this Abes!! :D

Hi Abes!
I started a thread here: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... 24&start=0
and sombody nudged me to another thread where someone experienced the same problem, which i quote here:

when Fade is off in Preferences
- drag kick (i.e. 808 kick) into arrangement
- copy kick 4 times and select loop
- playback loop. The first kick sounds like there is a fade active.

- insert some silence before the first kick.
- playback from beginning of silence. Now the first kick sounds normal again.

So somehow when playing back from the beginning of the wave there is an audible fade added. Begin playback with some silence before the wave and the fade is gone.
I used Battery an a 909 Sample instead, where you can even hear the fade better, as the 909 has a punchier "cklick" to it, where the cut/fade is even more audible.

The thread i quoted from is here:
http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=115891

I was wondering if this is going to stay like that (me have to insert silence every time) or if this can be solved by the Abes (bugfix) as it seems just weird.
By the way: playing the very same clip in Sessionview sounds just fine! It starts when dragging it over to Arrangementview, than the first kick sounds faded.

Using Live 8.0.3 on Win XP SP3.

there appears to be a bugfix in this direction (or of the older threads) in 8.0.4b2

maybe you should check it out

Thanx i saw that as well. You are refering to:
Exporting or consolidating audio would create a fade in in the resulting audio file
i guess, but this has nothing to do with exporting, only with dragging a clip from Session to Arrangementview.
Will still check it out.

think you can diasble a funktion in prefrences where it creates fades to prevent clik in samples
PREF/REC-WARP-LAUNCH/ create fades on edgdes * disable

Weird no body ever posted it or send it to the support.
They responded pretty fast and said they´ll send it over to the technic-team. They think it has something to do with the fades in arrangementview.

I have had problems with the new warping engine in arrangement view. It creates little warbles and time variations even if I don't make any changes to the file other than loop it. I've taken to turning off warp as a work around but I hope this gets fixed soon.
