Hello,
I went to ableton website and downloaded Live demo. Indeed, I said to myself I have to give achance to Live, I'm used to use acid until now. So...
Once installed and launched, I loaded an acid loop file and began to play with it; here came the problem:
The sound coming out from Live was very strange, like it could be if i applied a 'vibrato' effect on the sample. I played the very same sample in 2 or three different apps, and this 'vibrato' effect didn't appeared!.
In live I did NOT apply any effect, like in the other softwares, so it's very strange that I hear a modificated sound. Maybe some parameters to change or something else I didn't have to do in the other softwares (Acid, Cool edit Pro SE & windows media player).
Please, do your tech support can tell me why this behavior and how to solve it?
The rewire function of Live is an extremely cool feature that can't be found in Acid.

What you are hearing is the warp engine at work. this is probably because you dropped a loop in that was alot slower or a lot faster than Live's default bpm 130. Just set the tempo closer to that of the original loop and this vibrato should disappear, alternatively, I've found using really short loop segments takes care of this as well.

Indeed the tempo of the loop was at 87 bpm, very different from 130. I also asked a freind who works in a shop and sells Live. He told me that Live it isn't quite usable with non-rhythmic loops (pads/Vocals/sometimes even bass and told me that Ableton Team is working on it. He said also Live slices the loop in 1/16 per default, but you can change it to 1/8 (the best for non rhythmic imo) or any other resolution in the clip edit. The slicing can add a stutter effect to the sound....
