"Trim" audio levels
Hi I was watching a video of someone DJing on some CDJ's. On the mixer (a Pioneer 800 I think). You could, I think the term was trim, the audio so you can adjust the maximum volume of the channel. This mean 100% volume on the fader can be the same for both channels because you have adjusted the trim. It stops knocking the faders quite so easily. What is equivilent in Ableton (I am LE 6 at the moment but I will be upgrading to the full Live package soon). Regards, Chris.

I'd say utility? You can use one to play trim pretty easily (Utility plugin exists already in Live 6 IIRC?)
Re: "Trim" audio levels
are you controller the faders via midi?
than you can use the midi map browser to set a min/max setting.
or use a utility set to -6 this way all the way up is like having the fader at zero

in live... you can save the volume of a clip...so you don't need to adjust 'trim'...Fresno Bob wrote:Hi I was watching a video of someone DJing on some CDJ's. On the mixer (a Pioneer 800 I think). hw mixer trim == channel preamp gain == in Live: clip gain...
