No F-bombs? I'm disappointed.

I would be surprised if I didn't let a few slip in there.

Spoiler: This post is largely pro-Ableton.

I'm pretty sure I let off most of my frustration in the last post.

Just a little tip. If you hope to be taken seriously as a writer/reviewer and viewed as a professional you need to forgo the profanity. It's not that people can't "handle it" or something, it's just that it makes it seem like you are incapable of expressing yourself without it, which will make people wonder whether there are other things you're incapable of (like knowing what you're talking about).

I understand, but I don't care about being taken seriously because of my writing. I'm a musician, first and foremost.

Then how about actually buying your software before you 'review' it?

As I understand it, in that you don't actually own a legitimate copy of Ableton Live, you're a thief first and foremost.

Do you feel like you have reached your objective yet? I think I understand but you might still be frustrated. Your so confident Mmmm!

Well I think the program is much better than say ..Fruity Loops. Besides having it with milk in the morning I'LL PASS./
but the other DAW choices are shit comparatively., theirs always Cubase not great when your baked.

but who am I, I'm no one creditable enough to comment on such dizzy muddling muddle.

Just for the sake of Freedom of speech., I love it!

/Continue!

Well like it or not, our "professionalism" is not judged solely on what we do musically. But I guess I forgot, you're the guy posting videos on YouTube of yourself toking up, so I'll save my fingers...

I saw the comment by dom in the other thread - do you really think I'm going to post shit like this under the same account as my software?

Not to mention the privacy implications of dom checking on everyone's "status" all the time. I can afford the software; what do I give a shit if other people are pirating it? Why should you? More music = better world.

Don't give me your bullshit anti-piracy arguments, I've already heard them.

I'm out until tomorrow.

I'm confused. So are you pirating Live or are you not? And why wouldn't you post "shit like this" under your license account? What would happen? Gerhard gets your IP and pays you a visit on his next trip to Cycling '74 headquarters?

everyone should tune into my upcoming blog, it's an educational rant, first issue will be called "why I scratch my ass and why you should care" the second one will be called "I had a headache yesterday but I jerked off and went to sleep"

hope you all tune in, it should be a pretty good read.

So you're saying you do actually own a legitimate copy of Ableton Live?

+1. My reason, to quote cwnc's blog:
Much like Apple’s devoted fanbase, many of Ableton’s users are so content with their setup, they can’t possibly imagine why anyone else could have a problem with it, and react to even the slightest hint of dissent with ferocious, almost nationalistic fervor.
I have no problem with people criticising Live. What I have a problem with is people expressing their views in an aggressive and deliberately antagonistic manner. If you want to debate things then I am up for that, but personally I am unlikely to engage with you again.

You probably couldn't care less that I wont engage with you... but if you isolate yourself from everyone, who are you going to debate with?
