Sample loop length change moves the play pointer

If this was fixed in 4.0.2 or a future minor upgrade, it would help a lot concerning live playback of loops, especially in DJ environments.

If I change the loop length while playing the loop, the loop pointer jumps into new location after each change. If possible, it should not move, just continue playing the loop and make use of the new loop point for the wrap.

This would mean I could set up 4 beat, 16 beat and so forth loop points, and at some point extend those loop points and the song continues forward. This is how Traktor and similar DJ tools also operate.

If someone has a workaround, let me know. I've tried various tricks here the last 40 minutes, but it's very unpredictable, in most cases the loop point jumps, sometimes even the offset value changes randomly, so it's very unpredictable.

Thx, Kent

Ok, sometimes it helps to talk to a wall (or post something on the web). I found one workaround. I drag in the same audio file as multiple clips, and set various loop points with each clip. And then I switch between them. That should work fine in a DJ environment.

It's also good to then set the global quantization to two or four bars. Hopefully this helps someone else. --Kent
