Latency on recorded clips in Live 8?

hey people,

just one stupid question because i can't get into the studio the next few days... yesterday i had a strange problem that i could not explore because i had lack of time.
maybe you guys can help, because it worries me A LOT.

i made a track with tons of uad-2-plug-ins and other stuff with massive latency. then i recorded a bassline and monitored it directly, so that i don't get latency.
then i checked the recorded clip and noticed that it had a horrible delay to the other tracks!!! obviously the latency was not compensated while recording! i corrected it with the warp markers etc. but this really fucked me up.

i have in mind, that there was no such a problem in live 7...??? i don't record that much live, but this problem would piss me off extremely...

so: is this a real problem or is there something new in the live 8 options i have to change???

thanks for any help!
jin

Might be worth you following the Ableton lesson on 'driver error compensation' (the setting in the audio tab in preferences), it explains how to get rid of the exact problem you just explained).

hm... did they change something in live 8 regarding this issue?
it always worked in live 7 without any further adjustment... but thanks for the hint... i hope i don't have to adjust the latency via trial and error in that menue...
