in live 8 can you control the zoom in and out of a waveform on a fader ? anyone got any tips for fast motoring around a wav form in live 8. (apart from a microscope)

we all know in live 7 there was the click on the wave and zoom-in function.

in live 8 it is very tricky to do as you can only zoom in above the wavform in a tiny area. which makes it difficult especially in a gig situation.

until ableton bring this back, has anyone got any great tips on this?

I use the lemur and apc40 for live performances and the remote sl for dj'ing (fits in hand luggage).

sorry noob, etc.. yawn.

I'd love to hear if there was a way round this too. I tried mapping a crossfader to scrub through a track for dj cueing and changing the start position, but for some strange reason i cant do it without the track automatically playing (which means its constantly moving) and its a bit tricky to be accurate without being able to zoom in. If i could do this it would really make switching from vinyl and cd an easier transition.
