I'm afraid I really wouldn't get your hopes up. I'm pretty sure there's a massive pile of preorders, and they've not been sent out yet. There's no word on when they'll be available either- for a short while the APC page said orders will be shipped 29/06/09 and that has recently disappeared. Doesn't look good. I've had a preorder since early May and I've recently sent them an email asking what the heck's going on!

not only that it says "Kurzfristig lieferbar (i.d.R. 2-5 Tage)", it says too that it's available since May.

I been in APC 40 preorder transit since 28 of May and have seen the teasers on the web...delivery in 2-5 days. But no word from them yet and nothing to do but wait. In the meantime I´ll have another crash of 8.0.3, thanks.....

but can you guarantee you'll get it anywhere else sooner ?? If it's early August, that's only 4 and half more weeks.

By cancelling your order you run the risk of it being October or something before you get it.

I know that it is total cruddy when promised dates go by, but every retail company lies about stock, compounded by manufacturers lying to them about delivery dates, so thomann are probably no worse than average (and in many cases they are better). At least they are giving you an option to cancel, some won't.

^ you are right. i was just pissed. my immediate response was not to give them prize for lying. and i thought.. it's available since a month or 2 in the US... wouldn't i be able to put my hands on one until august?!?
i guess the answer is no. or we'll see.
anyway, whoever took my place and will get my APC: have fun! i'll go no and chill my mediterranen temper

I asked why ? They said its the distributor who cause problems
and give out wrong delivery-dates. So its Akai who lies
with their apc40.com ... out now! - maybe they wish it
but dont get the logistik for that thing.
