This is one of my picks for album of the year so far and it also happens to boast some incredible production. I noticed there's a
Sound on Sound interview with the producer but it's not available to non-subscribers yet, but I am dieing to know some of their secrets. Is anyone else here a big fan? Thoughts?

Yeah, they are pretty much amazing! I imagine this is what Pet Sounds or Smile would have sounded like if he'd been taking LSD now rather that '65.
I know they used to use really simple loop samplers like Boss SP-404's and such.

there's an article in sound on sound about it, a few issues ago.
basically, they plug in a bunch of cheap hardware and get creative.

OP - PM me your e-mail address and I can send the journal article you want file to you as an .rtf (rich text format) document which can be read in any word processor. I don't have any .pdf writers, only Acrobat Reader. I esub to SOS. Still the best music technology magazine around bar none.

@ Jamester - What is the venue MPP like? What makes it worthy of an album title accolade?
