The company that make's the Ravity S and Ravity R - rompler VSTi's has created the LFX-1310 effects processor .
It's exactly the same effects engine as in their new Ravity VSTi rythm and sample based romplers.
It's code optimised for low CPU overhead also ;).
It uses any three effects in series/parrallel simultaneously.
Has distortion ,overdrive ,delays ,reverbs ,eq's ,compressors and the like.
It's totally free to download also I might add.
Well worth popping over I've just loaded it on my system now :D ....

Just been messing with this.
Some great distortion over drive effects.
A pretty good leslie.
Nice clean wah's .
Bit crushers.
Delays / Chorus
Combo effects ,peak limeter eq's etc .
Stupendously low CPU useage 10 instances clocked up 10% useage and they where all verb/del & verb/chorus style combos.
Some 200 odd preset configurations provided also.
Bit like having an old Boss SE-50 in your LIVE rig.
Very very stable infact ROCK SOLID.
Adds some great bread and butter processing to your other live effects that's for sure.
I'm gonna be using this one heaps.
Two thumbs up from me this is great value I can't believe its free really.

Hey i'm just messing round with this with Reason rewired and it is the shit
Easy to edit - so CPU light it's a laugh .
Lots of BPM sync options - the distortions and overdrive are nasty as all hell .
I think I might by Ravity R and S if they're this CPU efficent.
They'll be killer in Live 4 for all that bread and butter stuff.
I would put this in my top ten VST effect freebies easily.
Sorry for gushing but this makes Reason sound AMAZING :D.....
Ive never heard Redrum sound this good using Reason's delays and stuff either very slick .
Already got a new track up and running it does the sickest things to Maelstrom in the most CPU friendly way and the reverbs are actually damn useable 8O 8O 8O .

Thanks for the tip mate, it's amazing. The Phase Bass and Violent Guitar have both come in extremely useful within 5 minutes of downloading.

One question though - in Live 2.1.2 when I select a preset for a track with this (and Ambience, and probably other non-Ableton FX for that matter) it doesn't remember the preset when I go back into that .als and the first is shown in the box, even though the one I picked is what I hear. The problem with this is that if I want to try out other presets later and don't remember the preset I originally had, I have to go through each one and try and recognise it ... or write it down at the time. Does this still happen in later versions?

cheers, RH

Willyum nope it's not timed it is an actual FREE too sue Download :D.
Remco I don't have the patch issues trying out of Live 3.0.4 .
I'll let you know how Live 4.0.1 goes over the weekend as I only D'loaded it this week and I'm still working on a non-midi project in Live 3 and this effects unit has come in DEAD handy I must say.
Pretty amazing how many multiple instances you can use isn't it :) .
