the file attached is a a project with a track with crossfadable effects routing
crossfader fades in the fx.
there is one clean returns and to throughs that go into the two effects tracks...this is so you can have dummy clips
the first macro knob is set to fx selection and quick switching and has been limited to 0-3 but can be changed when you add more effects.
ummmm this is just an idea on how to control effects if you want and you can up the amount of sends i do suggest if you want to keep the 3 sends on the apc40 to have the clean returns track lastor a least after send a,b and c.
(i will be posting a video tutorial about this at some point i have a party tonight so it might not be for a few days)
peace

the dummy clips? yeh sorry they are not real one i assumed people knew how to make dummy clips....if you dont they are just blank audio clips with modified envelopes to control the effects on the track.
i'd will upload a fixed version...but noone seems to be interested

No sorry the download limits been reached on rapidshare. You must have at least ten people interested

! Yeah I'm okay with the dummy clips and envelopes, I was just interested to see how you've set up you're apc and mapped the crossfader to the fx. Macros and racks and sends and returns are still making my head spin -theres so many ways of doing things! I really wanna just get my apc set up just right and stop changing things so I can get used to it for dj'ing out(i change my mind about eq's on an hourly basis). Going from a djm400 to this is taking a bit of getting used to, having 9 faders infront of me is intimidating to say the least and it doesnt help when i keep changing msppings!
Thanks,
-Tom

that is odd i have a pro account ......maybe i wasnt logged in
i like it but then i had a use for everything on it before it was even out haha....i actually preplanned getting it after i ordered it...3months before receiving it. making my sets so that they would work well with the way i thought it would work from reading about it and watching every video more than once haha. The research payed off and my set is so fluid with this thing only a few minor niggles though.
just try and idiot proof the set up so that you know when you twist something ot press something its always going to do what you want......this is why i stick to 8 tracks or groups of 8...but mainly 8 is more than enough for djing it meas the sends and levs stay put and i am always looking at the same thing ..its a bit wasteful of the fact you can scroll horizontal i like it because it feels more like harware if you have things less static...and if i need it the option is allways there to break away from that.
trust me you will be complaining there isnt enough faders or knobs on the apc soon enough haha
