Im trying to remap my APC40 to control parameters on Native Instruments Massive synth plug in. I want to keep the presets as they are on the controller (clip launch=clip launch) and change the function of a few of the other buttons/pots (panning pot to filter sweep on Massive for example). The only way i can get MIDI learn to work on the plug in is by turning off the APC40 as a control surface effectively turning it into your bog standard MIDI controller. Clip launch buttons become note keys, you lose all the rest of the APCs preset functions (you have to reassign everything from scratch ). When you open Massive some of the APCs pots are already mapped to the macro controllers so surely you can change some things around without losing all of the controllers presets???????? Any help is much appreciated£ ez

That was exactly what i was looking for! For some reason MIDI learn wouldn't work by just clicking on the GUI of the plug in (Massive) unless you turned off 'control surface' for the APC40. Thanks man that was wrecking my head

I am finding the need to switch banks of device parameters quite limiting, as sometimes there are paramaters on bank 2 that i wish to tweak in conjunction with paramaters from bank 1.

What i want to do is remap certain device paramaters which dont reside in the 1st default bank of 8, and remap them so they are in the 1st bank of 8. So that i dont have to switch banks.

If i do this will ableton remember the new mappings each time i use the apc40? or does it remember re-mappings per live set/project? Or does it remember midi remappings per device preset?
