Anyone else had this?
i only just got live8 upgrade, and i think its this combo thats been crashing it all the time
i re-installed reaktor, and it now wont load reaktor, and asks me to check preferences
even my old projects in live7 wont open properly, possibly because live 8 has rescanned?
really gotta get 2 projects finished in particular, as i have a label waiting for me, not to mention my liveset this coming weekend with heavy use of reaktor fx!
i've emailed support already

Why 5.1.2? The latest Reaktor version's 5.1.5, and has been for 16 months or so...

I had this problem with a legit version of Live 7 and a cracked version of Reaktor 5.1.2.

If you guys are using 5.1.2 I'm guessing you are using cracked versions.
If so, I wouldnt complain too much....
If you are using a Mac, there is a cracked version of 5.1.4 I found out there that is way more stable, it hasnt crashed on me yet. Not sure about windows users.

yeah... latest Live + latest Reaktor = crashes, here too.
at least here i think it got to do with my sound card.. not sure.
use AU, not VST of Reaktor in Live.

when i use Reaktor standalone, it will immediately crash if it's not launched with the soundcard that it was last quitting with.
hosted in live, while a reaktor instance outputs / processes some audio, and trying to change soundcard in preferences = crash
and some other occasional crashes... i'm tired of it already.

waiting for my Kore2 to arrive. anyway...

A great example of why you shouldn't use cracks. Besides betas (where I'm trying to make Reaktor crash), Reaktor hasn't crashed on me in three years or so.

because don't change a running system... only now with Live8 there is a problem... trashing reaktors preferences did it for me, though.

i hardly update for the sake of it, if something is working i leave it at whatever version... i hate that update race... to keep up with all the software i have installed, i would waste 2 hours a week just updating, stupid.

so you found a way to make it work?
im really pissed off, the only reason i got the live update was so i could use reaktor and other vst's properly. before, the 128 parameter limit in ableton really made things a pain.
now im in the same position but worse

i trashed the reaktor preference file, since then 'knocking on wood' it's been flawless.

on a MAC go to user~library~preferences~ and trash the reaktor 'com.native-instruments.Reaktor5.plist' file and any other related one (only in the preferences folder) this is what i did, started once reaktor standalone afterwards rebuilt my preferences and that's it.
