Simpler won't record/playback mod wheel

when i record a small clip with controller info connected to the Simplers' Freq parameter, the filter is put on 0 when played back.
I am on WindowsXPsp1
Sorry to say Ableton, but 4.0.1 is very buggy at the moment. I am running from one problem into another one. So best of luck solving them!
