hey everyone i have a quick question. I have a 4 bar sample that has music in the background as well as singing. What type of filter would i use to get the voice out or lowered as much as possible. i tried different filters through the drum pad but they only filter the bass out.

heres an example of what i mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV51SDHCCus ..... see how they filtered the ladies voice out for the verse.... that's what im trying to do. really any help would be appreciated. I am stuck and i really want to do this song. thanks for any help!!!

you could try eq8 and use a notch with high q, sweep this up and down the frequency axis until you hear the voice being attenuated... but this will affect the sound of the music and it certainly won't "remove" the vocals. There is a trick if you have an instrumental and an acapella you can invert one and put them on top of each other to cancel out the vocals - try a google search for that

There is no quick and easy way to do this, although you may be able to do it if you had an instrumental version of the track.
Your probably better off trying to find an acapella of the track that you want to use.
