Hey crew
I have a gripe with live 8.
When you are in arrangement view and editing a sample live 7 used to play from wherever you put the cursor when in the sample editor window.
So for example when I had a long sample laid out and say I clicked 4 bars in on the middle of the sample and pressed space bar, the sample would play from there as well as on the arrange.
now you have to go up to the top bar and click as a speaker icon which I find to be really slow.
Id much rather use the space bar to play and use the mouse to set the cursor as Im using the mouse to do other things and hate having to always move the mouse up to that top bar.
Real step backwards guys. This was one of the best features of quick editing in live!
Same thing for midi clips.
Can you guys re implement this feature?

This still works for me, are you sure you are not clicking in the ruler instead of on the actual arrange page?

Sorry I think I must have explained it wrong.
I mean the sample/ MIDI view at the bottom of the page.
It used to relate directly when I clicked on this window the sample would start from that section of the sample on the arrange page.
Now you have to go up to the top of the sample edit window so that the cursor turns into a speaker icon and click it.
Too much mouse movement IMO.
Id like to be able to use the space bar as the play and the mouse to set where I want it to play from.
Not unlike how it works on the actual arrange page but the same on the sample/ MIDI editor window.
