Hello to All!

I have been trying to render a 24 track song to disk for quite some time. While rendering, it only seems to get to about 47% and then it stops. I tried bouncing the entire mix down to one track and then rendering just that one track, but I get the same results. I am fairly new to Live and it is possible that I am missing a simple step. I am rendering from 44.1kHz / 24 bit to 44.1kHz / 16 bit. I am using a G5 with dual 1.8's and 1Gb of RAM. I also have my buffer size maxed out. Any other suggestions? Anyone experiencing similar problems?

I forgot to add, I am using OSX 10.3.5

I'm also on 10.3.5. A couple of hours ago I rendered a four-minute song from 24/44.1 (23-tracks) to 16/44.1 (stereo), and it worked fine. My buffer is also maxed out to 2048.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but at least you know that it should work. I'm using a 1Gz 1GB G4 Powerbook.

Do you have plenty of free disk space?

I had a lot of rendering problems (on a WinXP system though) if I did anything else on the computer while Live was rendering - the files either came out corrupted or Live did that freezing-halfway thing --- however, I'm not sure this kind of behaviour would apply to all platforms...but nowadays I'll just let Live render in peace

I have been letting Live "render in peace" I also have plenty of disk space. My song is about 9 minute long and has 24 tracks with each track using about 3 effects on average. During playback my "disk overload" light is coming on in certain, very busy parts of the song. This is causing some horrible things to happen, and it sounds like a mess. I am not sure if these 2 problems could be linked, but I have also tried bouncing the 24 track song down to 1 track and then trying to render just that track, and I get the same result. Is there a limit to the amount of tracks or to the length of the song?
