Hi,
when i import a midifile in live4, it takes a lot to load, and some common operations like zoom or warp are very slow.
Graphic seems to be not so fluid.
This happens with big midifiles, not much for the duration, but for the number of his events: if it's short but has a lot of cc automation,
live suffers.
Anyone can confirm?

i've already posted on this subject (i think i stated it in the tips and tricks): what you have to do is convert your midi files into midi clips.

I've tryed as you said in that post
but live wasn't able to finish the recording: it freezed and crashed.
I'm using live 4.01 and never had a crash before.
I've also tryed deleting vsti but live suddenly quits again.
Any suggests?

what VSTIs are you using?
i did the operation several times without having a crash.

i load a midifile with 4 tracks and assign each to pro53, fm7 and kontakt.
Deleting them doesn't change.
When i play the scene and start the recording to midiclip, live begins to slow down, then freeze and quits. Really a bad crash.
But the performance meter is only 30-40%.
I've tryed and it happens with several midifiles i have (my old songs with a lot of automation of cc).
Perhaps it's a only mac problem?

It's the same for me on my Powerbook 867.

It is 30 or 40% on the CPU control but if you load the activity monitor app (in the utility folder) you can check that the processor is over.

i've tested this on a pc (athon xp 1800) and happens too.
I've mailed the support, hope this will be resolved in next updates.
