Change color of clip buttons on APC40

I would like to change the color of the “not playing clips” to white or something similar. Which MIDI note messages do I have to transform – and which velocity value should it be?
Is it possible to do this in some kind of config file or do I have to use Midi Pipe or Bome’s to translate it in real-time?
Thanks for your help

there are no rgb leds in the apc so the only possible colors are red, green and orange

There are only two LEDs- a red and a green. Both lit makes amber, therefore both LEDs are lit when a clip is present but not playing. If you want to mess with that, go nuts. You'd likely have to unsolder and replace all the LEDs.

This is true but both LEDs are housed together. I think you need to change what messages are being sent to them. M4L (whenever we get our hands on it) and Bome's seem to be the tools for that.

no, if you want a different color - change the Led's. no "soft" way for that.

For colours outside of Red Orange and Green Yes. Why won't Bome's change the default colours for you?

Because the LEDs are fixed colours and real. You cannot change the physical nature of something through software - at least as far as these LEDs go.
You'll have to change them manually.
Has anyone opened up the APC-40 yet to examine?
Any pics available?

Ahem. I think he meant changing from green is playing etc. other colours *that are afforded by the given hardware*.
You can do pretty much anything with Bomes, as seen in the nativeKontrol patches.

If you're looking to change the colors because of difficulty distinguishing between the default LEDs, check out
