Is this a joke? No midi-clip transpose?

Hello...
No midii transpose????
I want to change the transposition of 200 midi-clips in my set... Do I REALLY have to go into each clip's pianoroll, select all notes and press the up or down arrow keys?!?!?!?!
You MUST be kidding me?
I want to be able to select all 200 clips and press a transpose +/- button.
This is a basic function in every DAW I have ever used and you're telling me that this absolutely king of all DAW's doesn't have such a basic feat at the 8TH (!!!) version?
If it's there... you've sure hidden it well... If it's not, please oh please release a patch update for version 8 within the hour
Otherwise, Ableton revolutionized my music

You could put the midi effect note pitch onto each track and transpose using that. Certainly a lot easier than doing two hundred

if the transpose is one, two or more oktaves this would be a soloution.
but when you want to traspose with 5 or 7 semitones, you don't see any more which note is played. then you always have to traspose the note in you head, when you add new notes.
+1

Well to be fair, we didn't get MIDI till the 4th version.
On the one hand I'd agree we'd need this feature. On the other I hope they implement it different from all those other Daws. You should be able to commit a pitch (or velocity/Length) to a clip. That is, copy device settings into clip and reset device.
That way we actually get some nice advantages out of it.

It's kind of funny in a way. Audio clips, where transposing is "hard" have transpose, but midi clips, where transpose is a no-brainer, don't... =)

They added a new transpose feature for the midi editor (It actually doesn't say transpose but it looks rather cryptic but it is to transpose notes). I don't know if you can transpose multiple clips simulataneously this way though but you can find out.

^ I tried - it only works for individual clips. Transposing multiple audio clips is possible, so why isn't it possible with MIDI?

MIDI transpose is sorely and dearly missed in the project I'm working on now. Really, how on earth has this not been part of Live's basic MIDI capabilities?
