has anyone heard any status on this version for Live?

or alternatively, does the EZbuss work with Live 3.04 Mac, both faders and buttons?

The EZBus does indeed work great in Live, you'll want to edit its profile templates tho, and for that you'll need a PC or VPC since the only OSX app for the EZBus is a profile loader. However, with VPC saving the file to the folder that the OSX Profile loader uses works great.

You can easily setup track/group navigation, all transport, etc in live .

hope this helps,

I cant comment on that darko mixer because i cant find anything about it. But that EZbus should work with anything midi related. Including Live 3,04.
Looks cool. but havent seen them around.

fugu, all the buttons can be controlled for whatever one wants them for?

if you use the profile editor application you have:

global settings: transport, location buttons.
v1-v8 with 4 pages =32 pages

each page: 9 faders, 9 mod wheels, 27 buttons

all controls can be notes, controllers, nrpn, or rpn values.

takes a bit to get a template in the EZBus and in Live you're comfortable with, but it's easy and works well, however i've found that multiple fader moves at the same time will cause subsequent faders after the 1st one moved to jump around about as values are updated.

I've talked to Event and they're not going to put any future effort into it i think, they're not really making anything but speakers anymore..

that said, the EZBus still does some things that only a $1k firewire interface can (and more in come ways then most of those) do.

hope this helps,

thanks fugu. sounds like there are some intermittencies.

I think I'll go with a custom build or wait for MidI Mixer to be Macized
