Hey all I'm having an issue, when I use the APC40 and I trigger clips they play back fine
but they don't actually select the clip so I can view its waveform, which is very very important
for the way that I work. Is this just part of live or is there a work around for it?

I should note that I have "Select on Launch" set to yes.

I would *LOVE* to know the answer to this as well...been driving me crazy

i have debated the importance of this before and met quite strong and almost aggressive resilience to the point. I even got the response this is how live has allways worked so get used to it which is somthing i knew but it didnt really help fix the issue. regardless it would be nice with the apc now out to expand its usability there is no nead for the linear selection to be locked down especially with the apc40 at least an option would be nice so you can select clips regardless of which row they are in
