i am not sure about the year (i think it was 2006?), but since 5 came out...

and really extensively since version 6 jumped 7 and now on 8.

and i have no problem saying that i always was and i am still a big fan of logic for my more 'traditionally based studio work'

everything else: Live.

i don't want to miss either of them.

Got the freebie lite version 5.2 with my M-Audio Delta 1010LT soundcard in 2007. Did the free upgrade to 6.7 and then bought the full version. Have since upgraded through Suite 7 & Suite 8.

Can't remember now...sure I had some kind of upgrade from 5 to 6, so since 2007.

Before that I played the spoons in a trad jazz combo.

I got a free version of Live Lite 4 with something I bought. Then a free version of Live Lite 5. At that point I upgraded to the full version of Live 5. I think that was in 2006.

First started with Acid in 2007, found out it was crap, luckily my E-Mu X-Board came with the LE (or lite?) version and once I upgraded to the full version, Live has been "IT" for me.

While working in pro audio sales at GC, I used the demo of Live 2 for a few weeks. I had downloaded the demo because people kept asking me what Live was, and I didn't have a very good answer. "What is a sequencing instrument?"

I became addicted to the demo. I contacted the NY rep at the time for an NFR, and he had me wait two more weeks because Live 3 was coming out. It was a long two weeks!

had a copy of Live 4... didn't really use it more than once or twice, though. was still really into Reason at that point. bought into Live 6 LE when i realized that's exactly what i wanted and then preordered boxed 7 Suite from GC (my sales guy later told me that Abes sent him a free copy of 7 Suite for selling the very first one in the US) and then I upgraded to 8 Suite upon it's release.
