I seriously doubt it.

But I seriously doubt any gross generalizations, whether they be based on racial classification, religious persuasion, sexual orientation, or geographic origin (to name only a few bases).

tangent...

*motherfucker is optional.

well there sure is a lot of people who dont think he is american...

mostly because when you pose the question "Do you think he is american?" you can be raising doubt to be followed by an uninformed response out of suspicion.

like "Do you think Bill Clinton is a rapist?" the question itself will raise suspicion from people with unfavorable opinions of him. and the results of that poll would be quite frighteningly high in the "yes" column

Your first question was "is it true that the majority of the south doesn't believe Obama is an american?"

The poll you cited doesn't show that a majority of people in the south who were polled think he isn't an American.

So the article's assertion that the silly notion that he's not American is "practically mainstream" in the south isn't even borne out by their own statistics.

It's definitely a higher number than anywhere else, but clearly not a majority.

And to whether there is any bias in this article: "For a crazy, demonstrably false, racist idea, these are discouraging numbers."

Crazy? Perhaps.

Demonstrably false? Absolutely.

Discouraging numbers? Hopefully.

Racist idea? YES!... erm, wait, where did race come into the picture? I thought they were talking about his citizenship?

Yes, I'd say there's a bias in that article.

well this columnist I am familiar with and she's no liberal notice how I say that as if 'Liberal' is a bad
word haha she says it was a liberal poll but it's the other things she says that are just as interesting

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/edi ... 60883.html

and what's with all of those members of congress that keep saying they don't know if obamas an american alot of them even recorded on camera, these are elected politicians with an education you'd think they know better.

know better.....they don't even read the bills they pass!

it's little more than a room full of kids looking to see if their friends are raising their hands before they do.

What they "know" is how to stay in office.

starvingstudent...you are a racist.

think he'll care? nope. cause hes not.

and to answer your last line calling me a bigot...i was reacting to your opinion and when i gave my own about it, you blew up.

i can handle that people are racist, apparently you can't handle other peoples opinions about your arguments you put out to be read and interpreted.

and still...you have yet to deny you are a racist. it could have ended with a "no I'm not, heres why..."
but instead you are trying to demonize me...so go ahead.

You are so full of shit. ANYTIME that someone doesn't agree with your "anything goes" political stance, they're a racist or some type of irrational and intolerant devil. You represent the epitome of what is wrong with the United States. It's all about ME and a COMPLETE lack of truly objective and discerning intelligence. People like yourself are happy as long as they can hide behind pseudo self serving ideals in a country that for those like yourself, is nothing more than a sugar lick.

And you have the nerve to state something about the nature of intolerance and the handling of other peoples opinions. You Sir, are a JOKE.

Oh, and you're not a troll by insinuating racism and intolerance at every turn? Again, You're a JOKE. It's YOU, that provides ZERO rationale. You demand what you never supply. More sugar mentality.

I'm not picking a fight here, I am just making it abundantly clear that I am SICK of people like you playing the race card at every turn like it were there own personal subjective
"wild" or "get out of jail" free card. There is simply no real logic within this type of predictable ultra impulsive response.

I HATE socialism. Socialism is just a convoluted "people's" duped perspective of what being an aristocrat's bitch is really all about.
