Don't do it. 100 out of 100 people agree that you look like a total douche on stage with anything less than a full deck under each hand, 4 decks is preferable.

The APC40 looks like you're withdrawling your lunch money from the ATM.

A Daft Punk helmet and a dozen empty Marshall stack cabinets would have you covered. Anything less would just look stupid.

On a serious note... do you currently DJ with Live? It's a different animal. I like to be hands-on so I use Serato Scratch Live, vinyl turntables, and timecode vinyl + real vinyl.

I don't have as much fun just DJing with Live and a controller. I'm waiting on the Serabletono collab to change that...

i used to use vinyl then moved to cdj's but now i use ableton and havnt looked back. i was thinking of selling just one and waiting for the abletonserato.

but that would just mean that I have 1 really really exspensive midi controller that has 3 hot cues, a loop function and the ability to slow down to 1%.

i just dont see the point..

triggering 8 decks at once. now that I get!

I believe it's... "Ablerato", why don't you come to your senses?

Is it possible to use a 3 turntable set up with serato yet?

Any news on ableton serato?

To answer the question about three decks, you can't use three decks but the newest version adds six MIDI-pitchable, MIDI-nudgeable "sampler decks". I'm not 100% confident of this release's stability though, so I think I'd wait a month or two.

I used to DJ with Live and now I'm a Serato person. It was a journey that took several years, starting around the time Ableton v1 came out. If I were to summarize my experience it's that Ableton is better "in theory" and something much, much more direct is better "in practice". Put another way, nerdy guys hung around over my shoulder before, and girls dance now.

My setup, which plays out a few times a month: http://whiteballoonsin1978.org/pics/rs2016setup.png

Great, thank you

I really dont understand why they doesnt make an interface that supports 3 turntables.

I hope to hear from ableton and serato soon ( or I buy traktor )
