I have placed the STC folder: S:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 9 Suite\Resources\MIDI Remote Scripts. Unfortunately, when I go to preferences in Ableton, there is no Selected Track Controller available as a control surface? Am I doing something wrong, or, is this an issue with Live 9.7?

So Im guessing STC is dead? I tried and got the same result...but I would have been happy to put a paypal donation up for it. Oh well here is the logged error in case

I'm currently testing it in Ableton 10 Beta on the Mac.
And everything works as expected so far.

yes i have been using it without problems on ableton 9.7.x
in OSX Siera

That is weird...Im on w10 and its logging that error.

Does the STC helper app run without problems?

Maybe you can try to run that one in Win7 compatibility mode...

Not sure what you mean? There is no mention of a helper app on website...anymore info?
The remote script...logging an error on start up...which looks a bit like mac vs pc text incompatibility ie carriage return maybe? Especially if its running on mac...but its looks exactly like what Im searching for.

EDIT: FIXED - Noob Advice: The actual install folder must be 'Selected Track Control' ...and no other punctuate name...

@wiffbi Dont know if you are out there but this is really really excellent work you have done. Totally flexible and very useable. I am donating...well worth the effort. I could have just used your script and a PD plug in instead of buying M4L and spending a week coding.

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to get this to work with an IK BlueBoard.

I have it so that midi monitor shows that when I press a button on the blueboard the output is

C3 is note 60,

so in the settings.py, this is what it looks like:

"play_next_clip": Note(60),

But when I press the note, it doesn't play the next clip ... ??

I finally figured it out!

I realized I need to have the irig blueboard as the input for the control surface of the "selected track control."

I am wondering, however, is there a way to overdub a clip in session mode using this???

I'm really loving STC, and how it allows me to do virtually everything from the keyboard. . except for zooming unfortunately.
I've rigged up a Max for Live device that allows me to zoom horizontally and vertically in Arrangement view, but because I need to key-map it, this adds to the undo list .
Is there a way to modify STC to include zooming? I'm new to control scripts and eager to learn!
