Hey guys. I just purchased Ableton live 8. I want to be able to import my Mp3s, match the beats, and then put each Mp3 on a cd. This is possible correct?

Hmmm, yes and no...
Live doesn't actually play mp3 - it will however convert mp3 to wav, which you can then warp (beatmatch) and mix.
Live can then export your mix (or individual wavs if you so desire), as wav format (not mp3).
Live will not burn cds for you. But you can use another program to burn the audio you've exported from Live.
Quite surprised that you've splashed the cash on Live without knowing whether it will perform the basic functions you need TBH!

I actually purchased Ableton for production. I don't want to use Live when I play out. I just want all my tracks to have the same BPM when I play out.

Yeah, the first guy said it correctly -- you'll need to use a program like Ableton if you want to have your mp3s beatmatched. Otherwise, you'll just have to do it the traditional way -- with your ears
Ableton can save warp markers, which you need to beatmatch your tracks. However, outside of the program, the work you do to beatmatch your tracks will be useless...

What are you using to play out dude?
It seems odd to use Live to warp your audio if you're not going to use it to play...
