Alchemy 1.10.10 Crashes Live 8.0.4

Have got a reproducible crash with Alchemy 1.10.10 and Live 8.0.4.
I need to do more research but the set contains Alchemy, a couple of FabFilter Twin 2s and a few samples and that's about it.
Audio from Alchemy does a kind of "grunt", stops playing, but Live continues playing and remains fully functional UNLESS I try to open up the Alchemy GUI at which point Live GUI hangs and forced quit is required (though continues playing audio in the background).
Also posted on Camel Audio forum - just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Thanks
Richard

I have also crashes not specific Alchemy but other third party plugins like Audio damage BigSeq2 and Sonnox Reverb for example. I also can reproduce crashing with native frequency shifter from live itself. While playing and dragging plugins live goes like poof "and gone totally". I went back to 7.14 i willl see when Ableton have sorted out the crashes, i have no issues with 7.14 with exactly the same hardware. I get the impression that introducing Max/MSP a lot of code had to be implemented in Live 8 that will give problems ofcourse this is only speculating.
Regards,
Wilfred.

i just can't use Alchemy 1.10.10 anymore,it crashes everytime i try to load a patch i made.but this is a bug from Alchemy, because i tried the same in Garageband as in Live, the same thing happens.
shame, because it's such an AMAZING sounddesign tool.

Im been getting lots of crashes with Sylenth1 as well. Allways when loading a live plugin onto a track with sylenth1 in it.

Thanks ... to follow up:
Are your crashes similar to what I describe i.e. plugin crashes, but Live remains functional otherwise?

No - Live just exits when I drag a live internal plugin onto a track containing Sylenth1 - its becoming a right pain as thats starting to be my most used soft synth.

This is exactly happening to me but with Shortcircuit as instrument and frequency shifter as internal effect....

I've also seen this many times. First some VST is playing a sound and then you intend to drag some effect VST to a return track. This often crashes Live.

I've got it most of the times while dragging it into the chain after the VSTi. Live 8.04 is for sure not as stable as 7.016...

the Alchemy demo worked for me, I hope I didn't just drop $250 and wait three f'ing hours for their slow ass server to give mt the 1.2GB sample download (seriously... it's like it's on its own server; all other downloads from Camel are 400KBps+ and steady, THAT file fluctuates constantly from 35KBps to 350KBps+... but I digress....) to then have to wait for a patch from someone to use the damned thing

I don't have a license for 7
But so far, so good. No issues yet with Alchemy 1.10.10 and Live 8.04
**edit 8/27/09 - 9:13 AM: after fiddling with it for a couple hours last night, still no issues.**
**edit 8/27/09 - 11:21 AM: this was listed as solved over on KVR... OP is slacking here!

according to the thread it was apparently a corrupted audio driver that caused the problem**
