Editing Audio and Velocity Issue

Hi Guys,

Can someone tell me how I can mute sections of audio in a loop? If for example I wanted to keep the length of the loop but get rid of a snare or clap somewhere in the 4 bar section.

Also I've got a bit of a weird issue with velocity in the piano roll editor. When I try to bring the velocity of say a drum hit down it seems to have no effect what so ever of the velocity. Any idea's why??? Is this a bug?

Thanks

1. use clip envolopes to edit the Volume of a part of your audio clip (in your case)
clip envelopes are HUUGE -> read manual

2.the velocity has to have an impact on a specific parameter of your synth (most likely the volume)
adjust the synth that it reacts to velocity parameters.

Hi, thanks for that. I'll check out clip envelopes.

Regarding velocity, by default velocity parameters in clips/the piano roll are set to instrument volumes by default? In 7 (I've only recently upgraded to 8) I could instantly change the velocity on a note just by moving the parameter. Do I need to map the velocity parameters in the piano roll to instrument volume? Sounds a bit odd to have to do that?

It's a bit of weird one, it was working before...

Cheers

this totally depends on the used plugin.
which synth plugin you want to use ?
with operator e.g. the velocity is not affecting
the osc-volume-envelopes by default...

once you mapped your velocity right in your synth,
safe it to the browser as default.done.
