Hours of work are gone... I need to refill my array!

Due to a crappy 8.0.4...

Thank you very much!... How can I refill the empty array to "uncorrupt" the .als file? Can you name me some adequate numbers?

No, my Live 8.0.4 is a legal copy! I experienced this painful yesterday night by joining the big "Ableton Live Unlock Night".

What happens to the stable and working code of Live 7?

The "A serious program error has occurred. Live will shutdown after this message box is closed!"-window was burned-in in my eyes over the last weeks!

Unfortunately I noticed a decay of quality in Ableton as well. The number of errors seemed to rise rapidly since
Live 8.0.1. I used to call Ableton "reliable". Nowadays I always feel like the progress of my work in Ableton isn't save anymore. That's why I'm forcing myself to create a new project file every hour in order to prevent such a disaster like it happened to reflective.
This one looks like a record release. Every professional artist knows how annoying it can be to keep a release date. Constantly occuring errors of half-baked producing tools are the last thing you wanna have in this situation. Is Ableton suffering under the economic crisis as well? @ Ableton: Please fire your cheap-ass programers from Kazakhstan and hire the "good ones" again!

I would appreciate that.

Don't blame Ableton for this, maybe someone needed some lotto-numbers for the italian jackpot and has stolen them out of my array

I can't believe that you are still in a funny mood in spite of facing such an inconvenient situation. 8)
I hope that not your whole project is f***ed up now.
I have never seen such an error message before! Where is the rescuing
advice from Ableton to fix the problem? *knock- knock-knocking on Ableton's door*
Funny, a few months before I was deeply convinced, that Ableton stands for "German perfection". It's like they kinda switched it.

By the way: This error message reminds me of my inglorious time in which I used crappy noob-FL Studio. Me and my buddy almost had committed suicide, when we noticed that about 80 hours of work were wasted

Wish you the very best!

Cheers

Hi reflective7511,

please send a copy of the corrupt .als file (without audio files) to [email protected], so we can look into it.

Best,
Jörg

Sorry, but I had to meet a deadline therefore I reworked the project immediately. Afterwards I deleted the corrupt file because I had no hope that the file could be recovered.
