so i have i just got a uc-332 (evolution) to use as an fx unit with my xone4d right, and i cant figure out how to get rid off all the presets on it (im using it with ableton 8 btw) i wanna get rid of all the presets because now il program an effect and that control will still screw with the volume and whatnot and i havent been able to figure out how to make it stop. its probably something easy i just got it but does anyone have any suggestions? i really wanna just wipe it blank so i can program the effects without any interference

As far as I know there's no way to instantly erase the presets on the UC-33e. I'd use the Enigma software to copy one of the more empty presets (e.g. user preset 1, on preset #31) over to a convenient preset number (e.g. 1-4) and start customising it from there.
As this question is nothing to do with Live, you might find you get more answers in the General forum, rather than in the support one.

PS: I was just mucking around with preset 33 today (
http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=121705) and that's probably the most empty preset you're going to find. I'd use that one and use Enigma to copy it to whatever other preset numbers you'd like.

No worries - I know the problem you mean: on one of the standard presets on the UC-33e was always sending a Pan control signal which messed up my external synth. There's lots of ways around it, but it's nice to do what you suggest and ensure that the UC-33e's not sending out stuff you're not sure of. There are two manuals for the UC-33e, both downloadable from M-audio I think, the longer manual is the one you need as that as the programming info in it. Plus I recommend you download Engima from M-audio as it allows you program the UC-33e way, way faster. Enigma's not a great piece of software, but it's a real time-saver for stuff like this and lets you make backups of your presets.
