I'm sorry for posting what is essentialy not an ableton post but maybe someone has the answer...

Can I run Protools audio and MIDI tracks into MAX/MSP.

I've got Live streaming audio into protools with rewire via refuse and so usind the Max/MSP plugin. reFuse is download only for about $30 and is aimed for protools/reason use but seems to work with Live just as well. It's not full proof but it is a start.
