Hey now! I am researching an upgrade from my M-Audio Firewire 410. I need more XLR and line inputs so I don't have to keep unplugging and replugging. 3 viable options in my mind are:

1. Focusrite Saffire Pro 40
2. M-Audio Profire 2626
3. PreSonus Fire Studio 2626

Looking for thoughts on which is the best of the 3. Anybody really happy with any of those 3. Did I miss any other options in the price range of $500 to $800?

Thanks in advance for your insights and recommendations.

If your sound has adat i/o, you might consider external converters.

They will be more expensive than another interface but will usually offer better sound. Adat i/o allows up to 8 channels of data to be transferred.

I would recommend to stay away from m-audio interfaces!

I love Motu....8pre is a great option. Considering you said you need more pre amps...

Motu has fantastic clear pre for the price.
