We just released the 10th beta version of an upcoming 8.0.5 bugfix update.
Every Live 8 owner can use this beta version.

As it is a beta, please remember to backup critical data before you use it.

Bugfixes:

Turning a knob on the APC 40 while toggling the Macro map mode could crash Live [5810]

Instant mappings for Collision would not work properly [5814]

Under certain conditions, the Utility effect would not take a gain automation into account [5721]

'Fold' would not work properly in a Drum Rack with 128 chains [5784]

Delay compensation would not work properly for devices before an External Audio Effect instance [5813]

Rendering tracks containing an Overdrive could lead to different results depending on the Overdrive parameter settings [5822]

b10 loads almost instantly. much faster than b9. cool.

Again, just a quiet request: it would be great if there was a small check to see what instruments I have purchased before the installer installs loads of instrument libs that I don't need as I haven't purchased the instruments.

It might help encourage the uptake of beta versions if users knew that they were getting fast, slim installations. I'm annoyed each time I install a beta and have to sit and watch as it installs Analog, Collision, Electric & Tension libs, even though I don't own these instruments.

yes, and i'm also unable to reach Ableton.com, only the forum seems ok
i need the beta before it expire, i'm away from home for the coming week.....

Ableton.com was down during part of the weekend; I am wondering whether the authorization server was also down.

I'm not sure which version it was that fixed this, but I had set my nanoPad up as an instant mapping device (using the X/Y
pad to control the first two parameters), and it doesn't work in 8.0.4. Just tried 8.0.5b10, and it works again there, just
like in Live 7. Cool.

great to see that there are some instant mappings fixes in this beta but I'd much prefer having a real automap support for Live FX and mixer... According to novation's support, the decision is yours now Ableton.

Copy/Paste from the beta bugs section :
I get random crashes with various plugins but it happen everytime while tweaking things (knobs etc...) directly on the plugin GUI ( Albino 3, Fabfilter Twin 1, Gforce Minimonsta...)

This is better than the older version. Bugs were fixed and performance is outstanding.

I appreciate the hard work, but I'm getting to the point where a stable release that fixes several bugs would be very nice. What else needs to be checked off for an 8.0.5 release? It sounds like b10 is getting good reviews. Excepting major bugs, can you please release it?
