TERMINATOR Live

It's been a 'feature' of Live since I can remember.(From Live 7 for sure anyway) ..
No matter what I do....
When I try to quit Live...
There's ALWAYS a 'Live' running in Task Manager (under PROCESSES)that simply will not quit...
Will not be End-Tasked...
A re-boot is the only way I can find to kill this thing... 8O
Am I missing something here? 8)

Yeah, it's simple. Turn off your MIDI equipment. Sometimes that means turning off your midi-enabled soundcard too. Then turn it all back on again.

Hi Aphid 8)
Thanks for the reply.
But this "fix" only serves to convince me that Live is rapidly becoming a bunch o' crap! :(
"Okay...before you can switch off your engine...Make sure you disconnect the gearbox, the steering wheel, the electrical circuits and anything else that "communicates" with the vehicle!" :(

tbh i think it's more the fault of the driver or the OS than live's..

some drivers don't get flushed from the memory when the application using them gets closed. and applications normally wait for libs or drivers shutting down before they really exit. either blame the OS or the crappy coded drivers you use. ;)

btw. as you are on win xp there is a registry setting that might help..

This happens on 8 for me sometimes. I just open task manager and manually end the process.
