Hi--

I have a Sonuus g2m Guitar-to-Midi converter, which is a bit overexcited with the pitch bend parameter. (I swear it's not my playing! ) The notes are coming out detuned, and I want them to be essentially "pitch-quantized," i.e. exactly in tune.

Is there any way to either:

1. toss out the Pitch Bend info from the incoming Midi stream, before the data enters the Instrument? (Perhaps by using some midi effect?)
2. delete the Pitch Bend info from a Midi clip?

the first option would be better, of course, as I could use it live.

On a Mac you can use the freeware "MidiPipe" - http://homepage.mac.com/nicowald/SubtleSoft/ -
With MidiPipe you can receive the midi events of your instrument.
There you can build up a pipe which is filtering the unwanted midi events and routes the wanted events to a virtual midi port.
Then you have to choose the virtual port as an input in Live.

And I am quite sure that you will find also similar freeware for windows.

But did not tested them by myself.

In the midi clip choose the Envelope view.
There you have to choose Pitch Bend.
Then choose - via Context Menu > Delete Envelope

Yeah I've got the same dilema. The G2M sends a lot of exagerated pich bend data. Deleting the envelope does the job but a MIDI filter would be better.

I tried one of the plugins from the link above (piz midi plugins) & it didn't seem to work in Live. It had a 'forced to key' & a MIDI router. When I loaded the plugin onto the MIDI track the MIDI instrument disappeared. I tried loading the plugin onto new MIDI track, then tried loading an instrument. The plugin disappeared. So I tried having the plugin on it's own MIDI track & tried routing the MIDI output back to my MIDI instruments channel. It only gives the option to route audio even though it hasn't been converted to audio in the chain yet!

At least it had a GUI, but the same deal when loading it onto the MIDI track. When I load it onto it's own track I can route MIDI back to my MIDI instrument but the MIDI signal is not passing through.

Does anyone know of such a MIDI plugin that works with LIVE?
