Simple Request: Notepad/Info/Text on clips

Hey ableton users and development team.
I do not have many complaints about Live and have rarely experienced problems. Since my purchase I have pretty much not used any of my previous software (cubase, nuendo, fruityloops).
One of things I think would be helpful would be some sort of notepad or text pad for the song. This could either be clip based and I could type in my notes by clip or even a general "info" tab that I could type in any notes about the song. I know I can just use paper and a pencil but sometimes it is just easier to keep everything in one spot. Sometimes I just forget what I did the night before (no drugs either =), week before or sometimes months before I come back to another project... Currently I use word or excel but it requires me to open another file, another application, etc...
any comments?

I think this could be a great idea.
You could write information about the clip in it, like "laid back drum groove with sax stab at beginning, in C minor"
or
"goes well with BIG ASIAN DRUM GROOVE"
or
for a full song (DJing...Ejing? Gey I coined a term!)
Ejay= electronic Jockey
hmmm
anyway, for a full song you could write the structure, 4 bars verse, chorus 8 bars etc

It would be cool to be able to name clips, especially if you could mouse over a clip in the track and have the description come up.

yes, would be a verrry good idea to implement that, because for shure we're not the only ones who wished to have a flag popping up containing some useful descritpion. BTW: clip-names tend to be longer then the small pixel-width of the field Live is providing, so at least this would allow to distinguish them a lot better.
shouldn't be a big thing, ableton, hmm...?

BTW I use CJ as the description of what I am doing... It's like DJ, but cumputer jockey... or SJ (sample jockey) or how do you guys call yourself?

How about this as workaround :

here you can D/L free lite version :
http://www.3m.com/market/office/postit/ ... _lite.html [ You can insert a picture that allows you to link eg to aan Ableton project and have that way all necessary projectnotes aligned ]

Mmm, Scribbler in fact is a vstI ... so it doesn't show up in Live ... I can use it though by calling upon it through Energy Xvst ... nice little utility

i would LOVE to have a place to type text notes within Live! Live is the kind of app that lets you just "go off" for hours. it would be nice to remember where you started at the end of a session. a simple notes feature that could be hidden would be a godsend for me.

Yes, that's essential.
And also it'd be useful a 'find' option to search through all clip names, track names, scenes and the comments...
