Hi all,
I have just written a short melody with a chord progression and would like to have your sincere opinion.

Do you have any advice about the chord progression and what is your opinion about the melody?
Feel free to criticize.
Thank you in advance.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best regards,

Could have been more creative with the chords Some different inversions maybe. Or record the melody and play some big fat chords behind.

It's hard to judge listening to it out of context. It sounds like it would work as a traditional straight up pop song, but I'm not sure how it would sound given a different spin. There's certainly nothing wrong with it as it is now.

I really like the piano melody. Its a bit bright and sharp in the high end IMO. Just a mix issue. I dont know if the subtle pads in the background are part of the patch but it sounds cheesy to me. That was a short clip. nothin elese?

IMO, the melody is perhaps a
little complicated for popular genres. I suspect the number of notes, jumps, and syncopation wouldn't stick in the average person's head for very long. But that's just my perspective on "melody" as a singer/songwriter who targets popular genres

. As a "theme" in some kind of musical score, it could be a workable melody (think "Tubular Bells," the main theme from the movie "The Exorcist"). If you've never written a chord progression/melody before, good start b/c there's not a thing wrong with it, and that's better than most.
