iv been clued into this thing where i can make a ghost of my computer that I can boot after a format.

iv got all my software on and working and havnt added my projects and sounds back on.


can anyone suggest a ghost disk?

It can be a huge pain in the ass, I know that much. Although, to be honest, I was doing it with servers rather than desktops.

I guess my question would be - why are you formatting? If you take a ghost image now, format, then boot back into that ghost image - what did you accomplish? I always assumed people wanted to make ghost images every now and then, save them somewhere safe & then in the event of an issue they've got a contingency plan...

Yep, used to do it at work. Norton ghost was my preferred method.. old school dos version.

i just want a master back up without data. pure software that i can quikly get back up n running.



and sometimes you just need a fresh start. clear the desktop, clear the soul.

I made images at key stages so that i can revert back to different levels, and can be up and running from a format in about 15 minutes
