I've assign the cut off of a VSTI at a fader of my midi controler, for example, and i want to modulate with this fader in a clip, it's possible or it's only possible in the arrangement session?

Do 1 clip in arrangement section, then click the little plus sign at the bottom right corner of your track. That will add the automation to its own channel, then you can copy + paste the automation (regardless of the clip playing) for as long or short as you need.

in a hardware sequenceur you can write the fader move with overdub record in pattern mode, you don't need the song mode, it's stange and boring

Yeah you can't do it. I made a feature request not 10 min ago. This feature would be soooooo awesome!!!

its not possible, just live with the work around.

Would be useful.. Tried using trilogy to make a dubstep wobble so I mapped the Filter to a knob but when I go to loop the bass it wont keep wobbling.. But once I made it controlled by the Mod wheel it is printed in the clip..

I succeed to record automation in clip while in session view!

I do it with external synth, named the access VIRUS A.
I click overdub and do my job, ableton live rules on it like a charm. automation recorded in No Time

So conclusion is: It works for midi clips_ it would be great that this works for EVERY clips [audio]
