So right now my iphone is on FedEx truck for delivery, and it will hopefully be at my house by the time I get out of my shit hole job...

I have a buddy who says I have to jailbreak it, install nintendo games, sega genesis games, I know there are some music maker apps that I'll be wanting to check out...

What say you guys?

What do you think I should try out? What do you use? What can't you live without?

honestly havent tried any music making apps just yet except for Pocket Guitar just for fun. I got the Cleartune guitar tuner though which has been awesome to have. I definitely recommend that.

Dub Siren! great tool. sirens, FXs and a bunch of dub/dancehall/dubstep radio stations... love it!

think I'm going to buy one tonight. my phone sucks so I don't carry it. last night I was out biking and snapped the chain, stranded, long walk. wife didn't appreciate that, me biking home from work, coming home hours late. she's insisting I get one ASAP, not a bad problem to have.

why would you buy one online? doesn't seem like they're any cheaper anywhere.

Bleep!Box is a lot of fun, only one bar patterns though. I like BeatMaker a lot since you can do so much with it and still bring all that work (audio or midi) into the studio later if you want. Bloom is still something that fascinates me, predictable sound for producing, but still cool. If you don't mind the cryptic GUI, Noise.io is a pretty powerful synth. A simpler but still really fun synth would be Bebot.

Perosnally I use BeatMaker 95% of the time though. Can't wait to talk about version 2!

If you like reaktor/max or dig making experimental sounds, you cannot beat jasuto. Its like a mini reactable. Techno box is definitely cool as is iSyn by virsyn.

Yeah, it's simple. You plug it into your car lighter, there's a module that allows you to select the desired FM frequency of transmission, you plug the mini stereo jack into your ipod/iphone/laptop..whatever it is that has a headphone jack, you tune your car radio into selected frequency and there you have it. I have taken my macbook pro on car trips and from the passenger seat, I made live-Live mixes/tunes for the wife's entertainment..dropping humorous samples..ganking a beat from a song that we had recently talked about, flip it, tweak it ..she has a pretty good sense of humour and appreciates it.-usually I have also done this with my Stylophone which is cool but can drive you bloody mad real quick.

to add to what was posted, I have one that runs on AAA batteries. I use it in hotel rooms to transmit over the hotel room radio, very handy. if you can, find one that transmits on a handful of channels or any channel. mine has 4 channels I can select (two low, two high) in some urban areas there were radio stations already on those bands that overpowered my transmitter so I couldn't use it.
