Ableton Forum

I've been told this isn't available in 4.01 (someone correct me if I'm wrong) so I would like to be able to do the following when recording new clips in session view:

a.) get a count-in of a bar or two from the metronome before recording commences?

b.) simply get recording to start on MIDI note on?

I find that I am constantly selecting events in the piano roll and moving them backwards in time so they start on bar 1, beat 1...

I wholeheartedly second the count-in on recording in session view. it's a huge omission and makes me have to edit the leading whitespace out of everything I record there, or record it in the arrangement view.

Very annoying! Please add this feature!!
