How do i drop by octave into the bass range? I'm trying to make a dubstep womp womp sound for my bass guitar, or any noise that will mesh with the dubstep sound, any suggestions?
Thanks so much

I've tried this and never got the sound quality right. For the pain you about to got through I would suggest buying a cheap Squire bass second hand. If you're a stickler for tone, it will be worth it.

I don't want to buy a bass guitar because i want to be able to solo and not have to switch instruments.
I could use massive or a midi routing technique to produce it but... How do i translate guitar signals into midi notes? I've seen it done before i just forget how. Also how much does massive cost?

I'd still prefer a guitar effect rack or some 3rd party program that did this... I had a digitech pedal back in the day that dropped my octave into the bass range so I know its possible.

IMO a guitar pedal is not going to give you this. I agree that a bass guitar is the way to go. I have no problem playing what I want to play on the bass. (I'd recommend a Fender Precision.) You can then use amp models if you want.
I think Peterson makes a guitar to MIDI interface, but it is not good for anything polyphonic (in other words you need to play one string at a time.) It costs about $100.
My favorite bass sampler is actually the Reason Bass refill. Massive has some great bass sounds, but they sound nothing like a real bass.

Real Bass = Real Instrument.
I'm a guitarist and tried everything.
When I was younger I played the bass guitar so
1.5 years ago I decided to get me one.
My music has changed so much!
Mo more shitty bass lines, only juicy bass ones..
